The Rock Maker

岩職人

Deep in the hills near the old Capital lives The Rock Maker, a master craftsman whose hands once gripped the hilt of a sword. Long ago, he fought under the old Emperor, but when war ended, he traded battle for creation. Now, he devotes his life to shaping perfect Edo Balls — each one carved with care, polished with memory.

His workshop smells of pine, smoke, and silence. Visitors say he speaks rarely, only to the game itself. Every ball he creates carries a story — of victory, loss, or love — each weighted perfectly, balanced like the universe it represents.

He was there when The Rock — the origin of Edo Ball — was found, and though he no longer fights, his spirit still guards the rhythm of the game. They say that when he crafts, time slows, and the echo of a bounce can be heard through the valley — pure, honest, eternal.
