Blossom Ball

花の球

In a southern fishing village where black sand meets coral water, a garden once took root — planted by the Ikebana All Stars after they brought seeds from The Thousand Fans. The volcanic soil changed them, and what bloomed was something new: blossoms tinged with flame, petals curling like the arc of a perfect shot.

As the flowers grew, so too did the rhythm of play. The villagers built a court among them, where the bounce of the ball and the rustle of petals became one sound. The court came alive with color and motion — jumpers blooming like spring, passes flowing like pollen through the air. It was the moment basketball itself found beauty, where competition became creation.

The people say the blossoms still move to the rhythm of the game — opening wider with each clean swish, closing again at dusk. What began as a garden became something greater: a fusion of the land and the game, a living court where basketball itself took root in the hearts of the southern people.
